Story
The British Women's Team Cup has a support fund to help riders in registered teams cover race entry fees. Dad founded the competition in 1999 (formerly known as the Women’s Team Series) to reverse the decline of women’s racing in the U.K. His mission was to allow women to race in a welcoming atmosphere, to develop their skills and fitness in a team environment. His legacy lives on, with the series still running today. Many of our British champions — including Dame Sarah Storey, Laura Kenny, Lizzie Deignan, and Dani Rowe — began their careers in the these races.
Dad's contribution to the development of women's cycling was unprecedented. Without his drive and enthusiasm, women's cycling would not have the strength and depth in the quality of racing or indeed the races that are taken for granted today."
