Story
Phoebe White and Ella Ballard will each be running a treadmill half marathon for the Blooms bury Charity Week, in aid of the British Heart Foundation and in memory of Dr Joolz Durkin, Bede's Science teacher and Bloomsbury tutor 2019-2020.
Heart and circulatory diseases in the UK cause more than a quarter of all deaths in the country; that’s more than 160,000 deaths each year – an average of 450 deaths each day or one every three minutes. Dr Durkin died last year from cardiovascular disease. More research is always needed to minimise the impact of heart and circulatory diseases in the UK. Your donation will help fund research and in a small but important way reduce this number.
