There are over 2.5 million people living with cancer in the UK. According to the Teenage Cancer Trust (TCT):
seven young people a day are diagnosed with cancer...
My stepsister Jordan was one of those children that got diagnosed with Osteosarcoma when she was just 14 years old. For two years she battled this awful disease but sadly, in 2014, she gained her angel wings.
Jordan was always bursting with happiness and love despite her condition. She was so friendly and comforting to everyone on her ward and would do her best to let everyone know she was there for them. Before her passing, Jordan would regularly speak about how she wanted us to carry on helping families. She was an inspiration and it was her wish that we continue to raise money for families in her name. So in her memory, we have created Jordan's Weeones. (Click here to visit our website: Jordan's Weeones Website )
Jordan's Weeones is a not-for-profit organisation and its sole purpose is to help families that are supporting their children who have been diagnosed with a childhood cancer. No parent or family member should ever have to experience this but we understand the pain. Just as Jordan was there for the children on her ward, we would like to be there to support as many families as we can. I know Jordan is watching over us now and would be very proud of what we are doing.
