Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, our unit's Scout Jamboree plans have faced some financial setbacks and in order to achieve our aim of taking the Scouts to Poland for this educational, cultural and a once in a lifetime opportunity to attend an international Jamboree we need to raise some extra funds.

From the beginning, the Scouts have been individually fundraising but due to the pandemic, we have not been able to organise face-to-face fundraising events.

Through no fault of our own, the Jamboree was postponed and has been rearranged to summer 2021.

Because of this, our travel plans have been disrupted and the airline has increased our costs for next year. We have also been forced to change airports which means we've had to incur even more costs to transport the Scouts to the new airport that will get us to Gdansk, Poland.

We would appreciate your help in raising these extra funds for the benefit of the young people who have worked hard themselves to raise the money needed, up to the point of the pandemic breaking out.

Any donations greatly received will help the young people of North Yorkshire Scouts achieve their goal of experiencing this international Scouting event and will accomplish our goal as voluntary leaders by keeping this project on track.
