Story

Hi, I'm Joseph, a student at The Perse School Cambridge. This summer I'm raising £1000 to support local and global education and science charities because I believe that youth empowerment is one of the most effective ways to tackle climate change and biodiversity emergencies worldwide.

By promoting education for the younger generation, we can equip the future generation with a mindset focused on doing what is right to protect our precious earth, society and future.

So I am supporting local and global charities who promote education, protect nature and protect communities from the impacts of global warming, species extinction and pollution. I would be grateful for your sponsorship and support!

This cycling challenge is part of a bigger campaign; the GYC 1,000km Challenge - a global movement where young people commit to walking, running, cycling or paddling 1,000km collectively, raising funds and awareness for climate action.

All funds raised will go directly to the Global Youth Council on Science, Law and Sustainability and the UNEP World Conservation Monitoring Centre, who are working to empower youth, promote education about sustainability solutions and mobilise science to protect nature.

By donating, you're driving real, selfless changes in the world.

Thanks for reading.
