Story

For some mad reason I have signed up for Velo South, a 100 mile bike ride in West Sussex (mid September). It is pretty challenging course with over 1,500m elevation, and a nasty 18% climb between miles 75-100!

I am now at a point in my training that I am pretty confident that I will at least finish the course in time (there is a strict cut off!), and I have also mastered the essential skill of peeling and eating a banana whilst going 15-20 miles an hour on a bike!

Therefore, I have decided to see if I can raise a little bit of cash for a good cause...

In April 2017 my niece Sarah was born at 28 weeks. She suffered severe periventricular leukomalacia (brain injury) at birth and as a result she has cerebral palsy. Although she is a happy baby, at the moment she cannot sit, hold her head or use her hands. She currently gets some physio and occupational therapy every couple of weeks but it is not enough to make a difference. We have been told that the first few years are the most important in her development so I am fundraising to Sarah can get the support she needs through intense blocks of physiotherapy. This will cost thousands of pounds and I am looking to contribute towards this.

Thanks for your support, much appreciated!
