We are participating in the Great North Run on the 11th of September, raising money towards the Sir Bobby Robson Foundation as well as our local school rowing team, St Leonards School Boat Club. St Leonards is one of the very few state schools that offer rowing and has been a successful and prominent club competing on a local and national scale, despite not receiving the same financial backing as many other clubs. Rowing has provided brilliant opportunities for us; developing self discipline, commitment and teamwork and we feel that raising money for the club is our way of saying thank you for the past 7 years. The Sir Bobby Robson Foundation is also particularly close to our heart with Sir Bobby being Joseph‘s great uncle. The foundation has touched family and friends and is without doubt an extremely worthy cause, offering hope and raising funds for crucial Cancer Research.
