Story
Josephine‘s life changed on 24 November 2017 (3 days before her daughters 3rd birthday) when she had to have her left leg amputated due to Diabetic Charcot in the ankle. Due to the Orthopeadic Consultant wanting to protect her right leg Josephine has been wheelchair dependant since, although she has recently started her rehabilation towards walking again and getting a prosthetic, however there will always be times when Josephine will be dependant on a wheelchair. Josephine would love nothing more than to regain her independence and in order to achieve this she needs level access to her home and a lighweight wheelchair so she doesn;t have to rely on being ‘pushed around’.
Josephine is a keen petrolhead and wants nothing more than to get back behind the wheel and she has been fortunate to have been able to order her first Motabilty car and the level access and wheelchair would be the final pieces in the jigsaw for getting Josephine back on the road!

5 years agoWell ladies and gentlemen... it's been a while since an update and a few things have happened... as you know I wanted an "active" wheelchair and level access at home and while I hate asking for your help, these things don't come cheap!! Well the thing is my need for these things was pretty immediate and so we had to have a loan to get things moving :( and so while I have these things I still have to pay for them :/ I also still need to get my classic mini altered so I can drive her once again. Thank you in advance for any help you can give xx

6 years agoWell we've been a bit quiet of late as Josephine got appendicitis and found herself in hospital for her birthday! This week she is due to take delivery of her "active" wheelchair which will be a lighter weight chair, making it easier for Josephine to lift into her car and it's overall manoeuvrability will make life easier for her too. Josephine has her prosthetic now and is continuing physiological to become independent. Josephine really needs her access to home sorting now and then she can properly begin enjoying life once again.
