Wouldn't it be great if staff and patients of the Royal London Hospital were able to arrive to the sounds of the piano playing soothing music ? We want to improve the experience of visiting relatives and being treated in our hospital. We recognise the reasons for visiting hospital can often by stressful, and hope piano music can be one of the ways we can work with our patients to reduce their anxiety. I used to work at another hospital which had a piano and it always had a smile when arriving or leaving when the piano was being played by a member of public or staff. It would be great to recreate this at the Royal London Hospital.

The entrance of the Royal London Hospital is often busy with patients who have arrived early for their admission to the ward, or for their outpatient appointment and would be an ideal location for the piano.

There is a lot of support within the hospital for a piano from the Chief Executive to staff and our patients. Please can you help to make a small donation towards the piano. The money raised will be used for the purchase, delivery and on-going fine-tuning of the piano.
