My name is Josh. I am 11 yrs old. To look at me I appear to be healthy and happy, however, underneath, all is not as it seems. I have a rare mental eating disorder, which I really want to overcome. I am unable to eat normal food like everyone else, something in my head is stopping me from doing this. My diet consists of jarred baby food (7 months), custard and digestive biscuits, this started when I was about 14 months old. Lunchtimes at school are a challenge for me, I constantly miss out on birthday parties and family meals out, rarely happen because of this.

I have seen Paediatricians, CAMHS and the dietitian, with no success. My last resort now is Hypnotherapy. Unfortunately, this is quite expensive and is not funded, so we have to cover the costs ourselves, which is why I am crowd funding, to help pay for this therapy.

My goal is to try and overcome this, so that I can sit down with my family at Christmas and eat my first ever Christmas dinner.

In October I intend to do a sponsored 10 mile walk to help with the fundraising. Please help in any way you can, I would be so grateful.

When I am on my road to recovery, my aim is to raise awareness about this type of eating disorder to help other children who may be suffering like me.
