The cover photo is from a recent family holiday — a holiday that simply would not have been possible without the incredible cancer services, healthcare professionals, charities, and support networks that helped my wife, Kate, through her cancer journey. From diagnosis through treatment, surgery, recovery, and beyond, we were fortunate to receive support that gave us hope during some of the most difficult moments of our lives.

Looking at that photograph reminds me how precious time with family truly is. It also reminds me that not every family receives the outcome we were fortunate enough to have. Cancer touches almost all of us in some way. Most of us know a family member, friend, colleague, or loved one whose life has been changed forever by cancer, and many have experienced devastating loss.

This fundraiser is my small way of giving something back. The charities and services that support cancer patients and their families provide vital care, research, guidance, and comfort when it is needed most. Their work makes a real difference to countless lives every day.

I've set a modest target of £250, and I would be genuinely grateful for any contribution, no matter the size. Every donation helps support those facing cancer now and helps fund the research, treatment, and support services that future patients and families will depend on.
