Story
Cancer charities are very close to my heart, due to losing a close friend at a young age and I know how important donations are, for providing support to those with cancer, and their families. However, rather than raise money for a large charity, I've chosen to raise money for an individual, therefore I’ve decided to run 200km over the month of may to raise money for Ashton. You can read more about Ashton's story below:
At the end of 2020, 12 year old Ashton was diagnosed with a rare type of bone cancer in his fibula bone in his calf. This is known as Osteosarcoma, a rare cancer which affects only 50 children in the UK every year. To those who dont know him, Ashton lives for football, loves Stoke City and is an extremely talented goalkeeper signed to Crewe Alexandra. He is a happy, energetic and incredibly caring young boy who certainly leaves an impression on everyone he meets.....young and old.
Ashton is never phased by what is put in front of him and even during the extreme circumstances he finds himself in he still manages to smile and power through.
Following his story and page this young lad is a real inspiration to me as well as teaching us all a lesson in life to always remain positive no matter what!
Any sponsors will be greatly appreciated
Thank you
Josh
