Story
On the 17th jan 2020 I will be shaving my head and having it tattooed.
I know most people will think I've totally lost the plot but it's for a cause very close to my heart, For the strongest most amazing young girl, Eloise.
Eloise is our cousins 12 yr old daughter who was diagnosed with leukaemia Christmas 2015 she had just turned 9, her family were told from the start Eloise was up against it. Her only chance would be a bone marrow transplant of which her 3 yr old sister was to be her donor. Eloise had 3 failed chemo cycles before scraping through on the 4th. She then enjured 2 months of pain and isolation through transplant. The next 2 years came with several complications including osteoporosis and skin biopsies.
April 2018 she had beaten the odds and was cancer free. Eloise was determined to get her life back.
May this year Eloise became unwell and very quickly the devastating news came that the cancer was back. The family was torn apart yet again and was told that standard treatment was not an option and the only option was trial based treatments.
This included the possibility of trials in the states. The past few months have been hell for Eloise as she has indured so much including 2 lots of sepsis and a life threatening lung infection and half her right lung to be removed. During this time Eloises parents have had to have the most difficult conversations any parent could have to have. As it stands Eloise is on a trial run by gosh, but unsure of the success.
A very private family have had to come to terms with the fact that they just cannot do it alone and leave it too late to start raising money for further treatments.
The money raised will go towards the following;
1st: Provide funding for options abroad should the current trial in UK not work
2nd: Should the trial not work the money will go towards creating memories with her parents and two sisters.
3rd: If the unthinkable should happen before the trial begins the funds will be redistributed to another child battling the same illness.
This family mean so much to me and to see them going through this horrendous ordeal is unbearable. Yes i will feel self conscious and yes the tattoo will hurt like hell. But its nothing compared to what Eloise goes through every day. She is the most caring, loving, smiling unique person i have ever had the pleasure to have in my life and she touches everyone she meets.
Please donate anything you can no matter how big or small.
I have found an amazing tattoo artist that will be giving up his own time to do this for me for nothing, he raises alot of money for lots of charities and i am very grateful to him.
