Hi my name is Joshua.

I am 15 years old and I am a Points fighter. I have been involved in Martial Arts for just over 2 years now. In this time as well as training 6 days a week I have become a qualified instructor and since September 2016 have fought all over the UK competing in Points Fighting Competitions where I have won a number of Championships such as: Unity World Games 2016 (Silver), Revolution English Championship 2016 (Gold),WKA English Open Champion 2016 (Gold) Revolution Yorkshire Championship 2017 (Gold), ICO British Open Championships 2017 (Gold) WAKO Junior European Cup 2017 (Bronze).

Win or lose I love competing, I learn from the best and have met some incredible people during the start of my journey which is what this is.

Today I am so excited as I have been selected for Team GB to represent my Country in the WAKO (World Association Kickboxing Organisation) Cadets & Juniors European Championships in Macedonia in September 2017. I feel incredibly proud and honoured to have been given this opportunity.

Sadly this sport is self-funding and can be very expensive and though I have the full support of my parents I would like to help them by raising some funds to help towards the cost of taking part in this competition in September and to be able to compete in future European and World competitions.

I am dedicated and passionate about this sport, I take everything I learn from competing and share with the kids and adults who attend British Military Martial Arts Leeds where I am an Instructor.

Someone kindly said that they think I have a real shot at success - flying the flag for young people, for Yorkshire and Team GB.
