Help Us Secure a Family Vehicle for Peach’s Ongoing Heart Treatment
Hello, and thank you so much for taking the time to read my family’s story. My name is Joshua, and I’m a dad to seven amazing children. Our family has grown in a unique and beautiful way, and I’d like to share our journey so you can understand why we’re reaching out for help.
How Our Family Came to Be
Our family grew in a unique way: I have three children from my late wife, who sadly passed away, and Sarah has one child from a previous relationship. Together, we built a loving, stable home for all four children.
Then came an incredible surprise: we found out Sarah was expecting triplets. It was overwhelming but joyful, and we embraced it with everything we had. But during the pregnancy, we received devastating news — one of the triplets, our tiny daughter Peach, had Tetralogy of Fallot, a serious congenital heart condition. What began as a beautiful shock quickly became a frightening journey none of us expected.
Peach’s First Surgery This Week
This week, Peach is undergoing her first life saving heart surgery in the UK. Because of travel restrictions — airline rules require one adult per infant, and ferry regulations cannot accommodate this number of young children without a suitable vehicle — only one parent is allowed to travel with them.
So Sarah will need to travel alone with Peach, while I stay in Jersey caring for our other six children. The idea of being separated at such a terrifying moment has been incredibly hard on all of us.
The surgery will go ahead before we’re able to fund and purchase a vehicle — but the need for one has never been clearer.
Why We Urgently Need a 9 Seater Vehicle
Although we will not receive a vehicle in time for Peach’s first surgery, we will need one for all future medical appointments, reviews, and any further surgeries she may require.
Our current five seater car means we cannot travel together anywhere as a family — not for medical appointments, not for daily life, and not for future treatment in the UK.
A 9 seater vehicle would allow us to:
✅ Travel together for Peach’s follow up cardiology appointments and any further surgeries
✅ Ensure both parents can be present for future hospital stays
✅ Keep the children together during stressful medical journeys
✅ Attend essential local appointments for all three triplets
✅ Manage school runs, shopping, and daily family life safely
This vehicle isn’t a luxury — it’s essential for us to care for our children, especially Peach, in the months and years ahead.
Our Financial Situation
I am currently on paternity leave, caring for the children and supporting the huge number of appointments leading up to Peach’s surgery. While necessary, it has significantly affected our financial situation.
I’m eager to return to work as soon as Peach is safely recovering, but right now we simply cannot afford the vehicle we urgently need. With everything happening so quickly, we simply haven’t had time to financially prepare for such a big and urgent need.
We’ve searched the island, but there are no suitable vehicles here that can safely carry our whole family. That means we have to purchase a 9 seater in the UK, travel to collect it, and cover the import costs — all of which is included in the total we’re fundraising for.
Any Support, Big or Small, Means the World
Asking for help is incredibly difficult. But after preparing for Sarah to leave with Peach for major heart surgery — without me — it became clear that we cannot manage this alone.
Having a vehicle that fits all of us would mean we never have to be separated during frightening medical moments again.
Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for reading, sharing, or supporting us in any way you can.
With love and gratitude,
Joshua, Sarah, and our wonderful children ❤️
