Josie King aged 13 years old from Thorney Close, Sunderland received the news every parent and child dreaded. On the 25th of July 2016 Josie was playing in the street with her friends, where she thought she pulled a muscle in her left leg at the top where a lump appeared. On the 27th Josies Mam Donna Doneathy took Josie to the local doctors. The doctors told her it was a pulled muscle, but they couldn't of been any more wrong. That night Josie cried with pain in her leg, therefore Donna and Jessica (Josies sister) took Josie to Sunderland Royal hospital where she had a Mri scan. 3 hours later passed and 2 nurses and a doctor came into the side room and explained it looked like a cancer Tumour. Josie was told to go to the Rvi the next morning the 1st of August 2016 was when she received the news she had cancer. On the 9 August Josie had to have a chest scan and bone scan. This was when she received the news that she had Ewing sarcoma a tumour a cancer. Josie started her chemotherapy on the 13th of August and nine days later Josies hair had fallen out. After Josies chemotherapy She is very poorly and it is heartbreaking to watch her go through this especially at a young age. Josie received chemotherapy until the first week in December where Josie had her operation to her her full bone removed at the top of her leg. Josie Was then in hospital for a good couple of weeks as she had to learn how to walk again as her bone was replaced with a metal bone. Josie has been told she will never bend her knee again due. Josie was in hospital for her birthday. Josie then received more chemotherapy& radiotherapy and this treatment will cover a year from start to finish. Then Josie got the all clear in July2017. 2 weeks later she relapsed and is now fighting it all over again. This time it is in her blood, head and hip and rib. She needed a emergency operation on her spine to make sure she wasntparalysed. We are trying to raise money for Josie To make as many memories as she can.
