Story

I am a fifteen-year-old student who is currently fundraising to be able to take part in an incredible expedition to Tanzania and aid those in need.

We take most basic things for granted and often forget the value of them, however these are not available to everyone. During this four-week expedition I will be aiming to help children and communities to access the most basic things, such as clean water.

I hope to make a lasting impact with your help, to better the lives of others. During this expedition I will be taking part in many activities which improve the lives of others including housing support, school improvement and, wildlife conservation.

Housing Support – Most people in these areas are living below the poverty line, we will be assisting with helping to build houses for the families in need. We will also be planting fruit trees to provide them with food and protecting the livestock.

School Improvement – The schools for the children are not as advanced as the ones we may be used to, they don’t receive the funding they need which endangers the children. The schools risk collapsing, they have poor sanitary conditions and the children don’t have the right equipment they need. We will be renovating the buildings, improving safety and providing basic furniture to help improve the quality of education.

Wildlife Conservation – Expanding and digging new animal waterholes, removing the poisonous plants that harm the wildlife and livestock and, monitoring the wildlife to help the rangers protect them from poachers.

I will be involved in these projects to help the communities access necessities that everyone deserves, while gaining an irreplaceable experience from this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Every donation helps and is appreciated greatly.
