I have served the local community for the last 35 yrs, as a Community MIdwife and feel as passionate about my role now, as I did in 1982 when I first came to work in Clevedon.

I am about to celebrate a big birthday - it ends with a 0 and starts with a 6 !!! and want to try and do something very useful in the process, which is fundraising to buy equipment to benefit the new babies and new parents locally here when I live and work.

To do this I am going to take part in the 'long swim' I have a colleague who is swimming with me- Alice Fountain. The distance is a measured mile in the sea, the Bristol Channel, between Ladye Bay and the Pier on Clevedon Beach, and we are doing this on Sat 22/07/2017. All I want is to feel supported for my efforts and hopefully you will be able donate a little to help my cause. If everyone gave a little, I may achieve a lot.

I would like to fund the buying of a Bilirubin transcutaneous monitor. This would then be used locally to help check on the Jaundice levels of new borns, here in Clevedon.

So please please help me help the NHS and donate a few pennies.
