Story
Hey everyone! Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page, and for thinking about donating £11.50 to a really worthwhile cause.
This half term I am going to tackle the Camino de Santiago. More specifically, I am hoping to walk 115km on the Camino Frances from Sarria to Santiago de Compostela.
I want to challenge myself, experience something different, and connect with nature and other people along the way.
BUT .... I am also want to try and raise money for a cause I care a lot about: a nursery near my school provides wide ranging support to children with extreme SEN requirements.
Many of the children are non-verbal and have autism.
Lots of the children are in care, which means they don't live with their parents, or live without the support from their Mum or Dad.
One of my teacher's children go there and he says that what they do is simply amazing.
Pupils at my school give food to their food bank and my teacher says it all goes quickly because lots of the families there need extra help to provide food to their children.
It's a really special place, and the pupils and families there are so grateful to the teachers, but they all need our help.
I would like to walk the Camino trail for them.
If you would like to join me, please will you sponsor me 10p for every kilometre that I walk and donate £11.50 ?
I will definitely be more resilient and less likely to give up if I know that every kilometre I walk is more money for the teachers, children and families at that nursery.
If 100 people donate £11.50 then I will have raised £1150 for this great cause - which is £1,130 more than I managed last time I tried to raise money for them :-).
It would also mean that every kilometre I walk raises £10 for these deserving people.
Please wish me luck and follow my journey on insta (@JPcaminochallenge).
PS Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once I've completed the Camino, I will withdraw funds and give them directly to the nursery school.
