In aid of turning 20 this year, I have decided to complete 20 charity runs on-island to raise money for the JSPCA.
The JSPCA volunteers and workers work tirelessly 24/7 to care for vulnerable, sick and abandoned animals. Not only this, but the JSPCA does not receive much funding and this charitable organisation costs a lot of money to run each month & year.
The JSPCA ensures that animals are well cared for and are re-homed with the right people in the right environment and will settle for nothing less. They never refuse an animal shelter and constantly provide the upmost care for these animals at all times.
Some of the costs for the JSPCA:
Cost of one disclaimed animal per day = £38
Food for a week for a dog = £12
Food for a week for a cat = £8
Total weekly costs of JSPCA = £37,573
Monthly Electricity bill = £6,000
Annual Costs of Welfare & foster clinics = £259,378
Total running cost per year = £2,039,127
