Story
Jack Tizard Special School provides outstanding education and care for pupils aged 2-19 with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties and Severe Learning Difficulties. Many of our students have complex health needs and/or autism. We are located in White City, proud neighbours of QPR Football Club and White City Place. Our minibus is no longer fit for purpose and this is having an impact on the education opportunities for our students. The bus is used for college links to prepare our older students for adult life, work experience placements, opportunities for school journeys which are not accessible by public transport, residential trips and many more enriching opportunities our students cannot access without the bus. Over 50% of our students are wheelchair users and we are currently fundraising to buy a new specially adapted bus. We have successfully raised £10,000 but need a further £20,000 to secure the bus that will meet the needs of our students and staff at Jack Tizard School. We would be so grateful for any help you can give. Thank you! Katie Medwell-Bates, Chair of Friends of Jack Tizard Charity
