I've raised £1500 to help fund a Christmas Day Meal and Celebration for around 200 people who would otherwise be on their own, or who can't afford a meal at home

This will be the 14th year we have joined together on Christmas Day with people who would have otherwise been alone, or don't have the funds or ability to cook a Christmas Meal at home for themselves. With the help of The Branch at the Jubilee Centre, this special day is made possible by over 100 local people giving their time to provide transport, cook, make drinks, wrap presents, sing & talk to people.
Nobody should be alone or without food at any time, but it all somehow feels worse when it's Christmas Day. We provide transport to those who need it, meal delivery to those who aren't physically able to get to the centre, a 3 course meal, bingo, singing, a visit from Santa and his Elves, a present and a place where people feel valued and loved.
If we receive more money than we need, it will be given to The Branch to use for the community activities that are run throughout the year.
