I've raised £6000 to help fund a walk from Lands End to John O Groats to raise awareness for Mental Health.

This year has had a devastating effect on the nation’s mental health. People have been pushed away from their friends and loved ones, becoming further isolated by the restrictions of Covid-19 alongside growing tensions on different sides of the political spectrum. In these times more and more people suffering from poor mental health have been left feeling like they have nowhere to go and no one to turn to. It is my goal to set out and prove that this isn’t the case. I want to prove that we still stand together, that we are still here to support each other. Sometimes 'its OK not to be OK' and that it is okay to ask for help.
To do this I will be embarking on a journey from Lands End to John O Groats, walking the entire length of this country and I am asking for your help to get me through. You can show your support in many ways; firstly by offering sponsorship/donations. Initially money raised will be used to provide equipment and resources needed for this mission to go ahead and subsequent money will be donated to a charity doing fantastic work for mental health, the Samaritans.
Secondly by offering shelter/food along my journey. I won’t be needing much, but if you can offer a meal or a bed this will reduce the amount of money required for this project and ultimately leave more to be donated at the end.
And finally by joining me for as much or as little of this journey as you like. We will, of course, maintain a safe distance. But I’d welcome anyone and everyone to join me, to talk about their own experiences of this year and to prove that we are not alone. Let us show anyone in need that the support is there if you need it. All you have to do is ask.
