Story

Lydia, my niece was involved in a road accident on the 6th May 2018 which left her with multiple horrific injuries which included; Severely damaged muscle in the lower left leg, Open comminuted fractures on the left tibia fibula, closed comminuted fractures on the left femur and a facial injury with a deep cut on the left side of her face. Due to the seriousness of the injuries, she was admitted at The Nairobi Hospital for specialist care having been transferred from two different hospitals.

She has undergone multiple surgeries including the fixing of the femur with an interlocking nail and the external fixation for the open fractures. Further operations will be needed for the open fractures as well as bone grafts to replace missing bones. The wound on the leg has now been drained and is ready for a skin grafting procedure. The latest report from the plastic surgeon is that she will also need a muscle transplant using muscle from her back to cover the exposed deep tissue (bone and muscle).

Her treatment has however been very costly and there is a huge balance to clear. Costs are also set to rise since treatment and care are ongoing and will continue to rise for the next few months. So far,the family has paid £9 900 and the current balance is £9 400.

We need your help to raise as much as we can . Your generous contributions, no matter how small and prayers will go a long way in helping give Lydia the treatment she urgently requires so that she can walk again.

Please help us fight this battle...Every pound you give will directly go towards helping Lydia regain the full use of her leg.

Thank you, from Lydia and family!!
