A friend of ours was recently attacked in his home. 5 men in balaclavas broke down his door and beat him around the head with a hammer. The police believe it is a case of mistaken identity as they were after money, which our friend didn‘t have. So after searching his house and pulling it apart they took his wallet and car keys. Our friend was left alone with with a number of facial injuries, smashed teeth and obviously the mental scars this trauma would cause. I cannot explain enough how lovely this person is and how such an event will probably change his life forever.

If all of these events are not enough he has been left with a lot of costs because of it. He pays for a courtesy car through his car insurance company but because the car was stolen they won‘t cover it?! So he now doesnt have a vehicle. The car insurance won‘t cover the cost of some items as they were on the back seat of his car. His glasses were in the car. He will very likely lose money on the value of the car when they finally pay out. Costs of damage to the property, including a new front door and locks. Understandably he is having CCTV put on his front door. He is having to cover alot of dental costs. All added pressures he shouldn‘t be having to deal with.

We are hoping to raise money for our friend to try and make the ordeal of what he has been through a little bit easier. Anything you would be willing to donate would help and be much appreciated.
