    Story

Bentley and his best mate Reuben are going to do a sponsered bike ride/scoot along the radstock cycle path and back

Bentley is 4 years old he has Global Development Delay and Autism , Reuben also has Global develpment delay They attend Bath oppurtunity preschool , a pre-school to help and support children with varried disabilties and needs

Both boys love to be outside and have gained so much from the outside area and equipment at BOP

Unfortunantly some one has broken in there much loved garden and vandlised it this id there story below 👇🏻

BOP are sad to report that over the weekend our lovely Summer house - situated in the playground and used as a freeflow outdoor classroom for the children as well as a safe space for the practitioners to support children with one on one time - was vandalised. The people responsible were able to gain access to the playground and proceeded to smash the windows of the house, graffiti the inside walls and ceiling, smoke inside the house and also drag some specialist equipment outside where they proceeded to set fire to it.

Obviously all at BOP are very disappointed that such an act of vandalism can take place and are aware that this does have an impact on the children who are unable to use the house until it is repaired. The police were called and have been incredibly supportive - CSI were sent out and recommendations were made on how we can improve our security to ensure that this does not happen again. BOP and Threeways have taken measures this week including the addition of CCTV and security lighting and our PCSO will be talking to the local community to encourage them to report any suspicious activity should it occur in the future.

As we move forward we will be asking for support in fundraising to repair the house. For now we would also like to ask that this post is shared so that we are able to raise awareness of the issue and hope that it reaches those responsible, to show that their act has had an impact and that measures have been taken to prevent further incidents such as these.

Vandalism = one of my pet hates especially as it always impacts on others. Good luck to your son on his bike ride.
