Story

Tommy Richardson and David Irwin both members of the Tyne and Wear Fire and Rescue Service family and Tony Taylor Councillor for Washington East and a newly appointed Tyne and Wear Fire and Rescue Service Fire Authority member will be 3 of the many undertaking the walk up Scafell Pike on 28th July 2018.

TWFRS have been driving forward a comprehensive programme for Water Safety over the past 2 years and most recently with the support of Cllr Tony Taylor and Sunderland City Council have seen the implementation of a Throw Line board in the Fatfield area of Washington, dedicated to Dave's son Ross who sadly lost his life in a water incident.

We are raising funds to hopefully implement more Throw Line Boards across the Tyne and Wear area aiming for reductions in fatalities due to water incidents.

Please give what you can we appreciate your support in this."
