Story
I recently spent a week in Pakistan with Captain Laura McLean visiting Commissioners Ivor and Carol Telfer. It was the most humbling experience meeting many dedicated Officers doing amazing work under such difficult circumstances. Travel for Officers is by motorbike and the roads are treacherous! It is a dream of Ivor and Carol that each Officer wears a crash helmet, but there is simply no money to provide them. We hope that there might be 350 people who would purchase one crash helmet (£10) so that travel becomes a little safer.

5 years agoSo we have now raised £1000 which means we can purchase 100 crash helmets, almost a third of the way there. Thank you so much to those who have donated!!! Since I originally set up the page the situation in Pakistan has changed and it is now illegal not to wear a crash helmet. When there is not enough funds, the 'head gear' being worn is often a very cheap helmet, a damaged helmet or is in fact some other form of unsafe headwear (e.g. a builders hat). If you are able to spread the word it would be much appreciated.
