Story

Just after Christmas this year I was in a very dark place with my husband and our twin grandchildren were all in hospital at the same time, our little twin granddaughter ended up in Addenbrookes on life support, Each evening I would pass our local park on my way to the hospital, by day it is such a pretty park but by night it is so dark and dismal and looking into the darkness only enhanced my feelings That's when I thought how nice it would be to look into the park and see some light, So when my family were over the worse I approached the local council with my idea of lighting up a tree, I was shocked at the cost and had no false hope of getting any fundung, but still felt it worth doing, we all go throgh dark times, and sometimes just to see something of beauty make us feel much better inside, This is something we can all benifit from in the future by just giving a small amount now, This park is the stepping stone from our seafront to the town centre and making it look more approachable in an evening has got to be better, Our town has taken many knocks over the last few years, empty shops , many cuts effecting everything so please try to help me to do this to bring a little bit of light to the darkness, I have picked the most splendid tree in the park to wear this beautiful coat . Sometimes its easir to not want to get involved or leave it to others but by just giving a little we can do this together, thankyou to everyone who helps , I have been doing car boots and other things but I will be doing much more now my house move is complete, if anyone wants to help me with the Light up a Tree email me juliestaff809@yahoo.co.uk my grandchildren are my biggest supporters on this and are so excited.,I just think it will look amazing when it is done and will be something for everyone to benifit from.
