♡♡♡Teachers, PTA members and parents with energy!
We are setting up a new, long term project which connects orphans in Iraq with children more fortunate than themselves. These children are Yezidi....one of the most persecuted groups of people on earth. They have been orphaned at the hands of Isis.
They are currently residing in pitifully inadequate tented accommodation in the Iraqi dessert.
These kids are desperate for interaction with children who are living lives that they could only dream of. We aim to help them to improve their English, to learn about our culture and expand their knowledge beyond the boundaries of their dusty camp. They need a lifeline and something to look forward to......
In order to achieve this we are asking for committed pen pals who would be willing to fundraise to help buy them the simplest of things- a football, some books, paint, a doll, craft supplies etc...
We also invite one off donations to help us kick start this project
They have intermittent electricity and wifi so we hope to connect with orphans on fortnightly basis via email.
