Bermondsey Community Nursery has been helping children in their learning journey for more than 25 years. The nursery has been a place that supports families in the area through their transitons back to work for mums and into a journey of life-long love of learning for children.

While Shad Thames and Bermondsey are now a trendy places, vibrant and buzzing with energy, there is a history of a very deprived part of London. Even today many families in the are struggling to get three meals on the table.

Bermondsey Community Nursery is the place these children come, many fully funded, to have fresh fruit and vegetables, and at two healthy meals a day. They play with friends and have the freedom to play inside in the warmth or kick the football in the garden no matter if its rain or shine.

The nursery has been given a grant to complete an internal reurbishment that will allow us to give the children a bigger, more modern facility to grow and learn in. However, we have not been given enough to fully fund the refurbishment of the garden space and the nursery equipment.

We are asking generous families and businesses to help us raise the funds to ensure the children that come to play have a safe and modern garden area for free flow play in and out of the new nursery indoor space.
