I'm raising £750 to pay for emergency private medical care.

Hi, my name is Juno, I am a young disabled person living in Cardiff South Wales, and I need your help paying for medical health assessments and scans. I am a young independent person who hasnt got a family to lean on or be supported by, so I need your help.

When I was a child I went through repeated sexual abuse for many years, which was the start of my medical health concerns. I remember visiting my grandparents in Wales as a young child and one morning complaining of severe stomach pain, where I was diagnosed with my first UTI. Through my life I've had dozens of UTIS and pain around my urinary tract, which came to a peak 3 weeks ago.

I had 3 GP visits, 4 out of hours GP visits and a trip to A&E. They tried treating me with 4 different types of antibiotics, which seemed to have cleared the infection, but could no longer clear the pain I was in.

The pressure and pain around my groin lead me to have physical and mental flashbacks of being sexually abused from the moment I woke up to the moment I went to bed, and I would have nightmares of it happening again. After 3 weeks of agony and flashbacks, the NHS said I would have to wait to see a urologist, and there was nothing else they could have done.

I have a long history of mental health disorders and suicidal ideation, so to have *constant* physical flashbacks of being raped for 3 weeks drove me to the brink again. I was forced to look into private healthcare, as my mind & body could not afford the wait.

On the day of writing this, I have had a private urology consultation and an ultrasound, which came to £550 exactly, which I have had to pay out of pocket. I have been asked to come back for another appointment in 6 weeks, which will cost another £200.

Unfortunately, they found something during the ultrasound. They found a mass on one of my kidneys and have reccomended I get a CT to start the process of identifying what the tissue is. A CT is £800 which I do not have, so I will be waiting for the NHS to see me.

I am still in a lot of pain. They've given me nerve blockers to help some of it, but it doesnt take away the pain for very long. I am still having multiple hours long episodes of physical and mental assault flashbacks per day.

I am a young disabled person. I was diagnosed with stress related Non Epileptic Seizures, also known as Functional Neurological Disorder, in 2022, where I was a wheelchair user for most of that year. I have Postural Arythmic Tachycardia which prevents me from standing or exercising for very long, I have Obstructive Sleep Apnoea due to a deviated septum & various throat problems, so I am getting on average less than 4 hours consistent sleep per night.

I havent been able to hold down a job in my entire life, every time I get hired somewhere I'm forced to leave within weeks due to how bad my disability affects things. Even at my healthiest, I could not sustain employment.

My dream job is to be a pastry chef working out of a home bakery. I have a passion and love for food and community and attention to detail and creative flare that only a pastry chef can have. I have the experience, I have the skill, but I am currenfly too disabled to work.

Despite being unable to work, I dedicate every piece of energy I have to my community. Ive helped raise over £2,000 to MIND in the past, I've donated hundreds of pounds of free community baking, I donate my time to meal share schemes and mental health projects and community gardening. Ive worked with over a dozen charities and dedicated the little time and energy I can function to amazing causes. My love and heart is within the people around me, and I would love to be able to help them more.

Please help me fix my body so I can fulfil my dreams and better help my communities. I am deserving of a happy life and the ability to work like anyone else. It has been devastating being unable to live the life of a normal 25 year old and I hope this journey of medical neglect and pain can finally come to an end soon.
