    Story

    Hello hello hello {waves hello}

    We, Juno Perinatal Mental Health, are fundraising to cover our costs so that we can sustain ourselves for at least the next year. Our running costs are approximately £3500 each year. We get no funding from any public body and to date, everything we have achieved has been ENTIRELY through fundraising.

    We started in February 2015 by a group of Mums who recognised that there was a gap in support for mums suffering from postnatal depression, anxiety and other Perinatal Mental Health difficulties.

    Since Juno was formed we have supported on average 100 Mums per year through

    - our peer support groups

    - online and email support

    - and subsidised counselling and other therapies

    All of this without one single penny of public funding. Juno is run completely on fundraising money and over the last two years we have raised money through pamper days, fundraising discos, bag packing in supermarkets, jumble sales, fun runs and also the kindness of donations from some local businesses and individuals. To everyone that has donated - A MASSIVE THANK YOU AS YOU HAVE HELPED US ACHIEVE SO MUCH AND PROVIDED SO MUCH SUPPORT TO SO MANY MUMS.

    As Juno continues to grow so does our need for funding. To ensure that we can continue for the next year and look at long-term funding, we are hoping that we can once again rely on the generosity of our brilliant community.

    We feel passionate about supporting Mums and will always continue to do so, we only ask that if you think you can afford to that you could help.

    To help you understand what your donation can help us with:

    £5 will pay for teas/coffees when meeting a new mum

    £10 will pay for venue hire at one of our groups per week

    £20 will pay for a subsidised counselling/therapy session

    £40 will pay for a venue for a month

    £75 will pay for our leaflets and posters to be printed

    £100 will contribute to pay to train our volunteers on Mental Health First Aid

    Thank you in advance for your kindness and generosity - we are deeply thankful to everyone that helps.
