Story

On the 5th September 2018 John Ruff made the unexpected and heartbreaking decision to end his own life, leaving behind his 12 year old son, Jamie. In the turmoil of the two devastating weeks that followed on from John's passing, it became apparent that he had died virtually penniless, having handed over a large proportion of his money to someone he trusted for safe keeping.

We have set this Just Giving page up to try to raise some funds for Jamie's future and whilst money cannot replace what has been lost it can go a little way to make things like his education a bit easier. Over the coming years there will be many times when I, as his mother will not be able to provide all that I would like or all that he deserves and needs because what I have will only stretch so far......

In closing I would like you to rest assured that if Johns money should find its way back to Jamie then I will donate a percentage of this fundraising to charity - some would go to a cancer charity, something close to John and our families hearts and another donation would be made to a mental health charity to try and prevent this horrific experience happening to someone else. The remainder would stay with Jamie as after all he is the reason for your kind donations in the first place.

THANK YOU so much for taking the time to read this.
