On the 14th June 2018 our family was hit with the news that I had tragically lost my nephew, Joey (20) after he took his own life.

The statistics are shocking. Every two hours a man in the UK takes his own life. That is 84 men a week. Male suicide and mental health is a big issue that can’t be ignored any longer. It’s unacceptable that so many men are dying from suicide on a daily basis, yet so few people are talking about it.

That is why we have taken the opportunity as a family to help defeat the stigma surrounding depression among young men by raising money for project 84.
