Don't have time to donate right now?
Story
I was 34 when I was diagnosed with testicular cancer for the first time in August 2010. This hit me quite hard, but as the Dr told me, 'this won't kill you'. I was happy with that and got on with life with one ball.
Just a year later, in October 2011, i was diagnosed with a rare type of cancer in my stomach called a gastro intestinal stromal tumour (GIST). This scared the living day lights out of me. The tumour was removed in early November 2011 and I was having treatment daily for 3 years to stop any reoccurrence, which has been successful.
But again just a year later, in December 2012 I was diagnosed with testicular cancer in my lymph glands. This was the worst news ever for me.
In January 2013, I went through 9 weeks of intense Chemo at Southampton General, I couldn't have it done at The QA in Cosham, which is only 2 miles from where I live, as they didn't do that type of treatment there.
Worse was to come on week nine of treatment, I was diagnosed with a condition called pericarditis, caused by me getting an infection after getting a cold. This was the scariest time in my life, stuck in a vacuum packed room at The QA hospital for a week until the infection had cleared and my blood cells getting back to some sort of normality.
Anyway, since then, everything is going well and I want to help raise some money for local people to make their life a bit easier because of the illness.
I'm also doing it in Memory of friends and family that we've lost to this vile illness.
Any donation is brilliant and I appreciate it so much.
Thank you
Let's KICK IT INTO TOUCH!!!
