Ṣadaqah Jāriyah — Supporting a Madrasa & Water Wells in Pakistan

We are raising funds in the name of Qabeer Yusef (affectionately known as “Castro”), who passed away on Tuesday, 30 December 2025, while on holiday in Pakistan. His sudden passing has left a deep and lasting pain in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who knew him.

Our intention is clear and sincere:

• ⚡ To prioritise providing reliable electricity to a madrasa, enabling its existing water well and filtration system to function properly, and to support other essential needs of the madrasa that directly help and benefit the children

• 💧 With any remaining funds, to bore new water wells in surrounding impoverished areas where communities struggle daily without access to clean water

• 🤍 If more than the £5,000 target is raised, the additional funds will be used for further Ṣadaqah Jāriyah on behalf of Qabeer, so that his reward may continue even further, by the permission of Allah

This charity is being given as Ṣadaqah on behalf of Qabeer, so that his good deeds may continue even after his passing.

Qabeer was a kind, caring, and generous soul whose presence brought warmth and goodness to those around him. Although his life was cut short, Islam teaches us that a believer’s impact does not end with death. Through Ṣadaqah Jāriyah (continuous charity), a person’s reward can continue long after they have returned to Allah.

The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said:

“When a person dies, all of their deeds come to an end except three:

ongoing charity, beneficial knowledge, or a righteous child who prays for them.”

(Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim)

The madrasa we are supporting already has a water well and a filtration system, but due to insufficient electricity, the children do not have consistent access to clean and safe water. This also affects other basic needs that are vital for the children’s wellbeing, learning, and daily care.

Our first and most urgent priority is to provide stable electricity so the madrasa can function properly, ensure clean water is available at all times, and create a safe and dignified environment for the children.

Once these needs are fulfilled, any remaining funds will be used to bore new water wells in nearby poor and underserved areas, providing a lifeline to families who struggle daily without access to something as basic as clean drinking water.

The Prophet ﷺ was asked whether charity given on behalf of someone who has passed away benefits them. He ﷺ replied:

“Yes.”

(Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī, Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim)

He ﷺ also said:

“The best charity is giving water to drink.”

(Musnad Aḥmad)

Every child helped, every lesson made easier, and every drop of water provided will be, by the permission of Allah, a continuous source of reward for Qabeer Yusef (Castro).
