Story
Hello, I hope you're keeping well.
My name is Kai Gill and I'm the first team Captain of Hull & East Yorkshire PFC. I've been playing powerchair football since 2012 and words can't describe how much I love the sport. Recently, I was part of the team that got promoted to the top league in the country - PTC Therapeutics Premiership.

I have a condition called Limb Girdle Muscular Dystrophy type 2D. This is a life limiting muscle wasting condition affecting my hips and arms as well as my lungs. I can't walk, lift my arms and rely on round the clock care to help me throughout the day as well as have to use two machines to help keep my chest clear from any infections. Playing this incredible sport helps me so much in terms of my mental health - I've met so many incredible people through powerchair football.
Unfortunately, my current chair is no longer fit for purpose, causing me to have pain and have no support which, is not helping me play to my full potential. Despite, trying numerous alterations to my current chair it’s been decided a new strikeforce will solve a lot of the problems I’m having. A new chair is going to cost in the region of £10,000 to £11,000, money that I don’t have available to purchase the chair myself! Any donation or support even if it's sharing this page would go an incredibly long way and would mean so much.
Hope you have a great day! Thank you :)
