My name is Kai Higham and i am a 16 year old student who has been given the opportuninty to go on a four week expedition to Kenya in the summer of 2019. During the expedition i will be helping local communities by assisting in the construction of homes and schools in an attempt to give poverty ridden children and their families have a better life.

I have always been a very helpful person and i have helped charities for most of my life. I have been a volunteer at a local charity that helps adults with learning difficulties and disabilities since the age of ten; because of this, i have been nominated for the young volunteer of the year award in my county. I am also the youngest approved volunteer in my county and have been on many courses to help me become a bigger part of the charity i help. To help raise funds for larger charities, i have also done multiple sponsored activities. For example recently i took part in a sponsored 13,500ft skydive and in 2016 i also took part in an abseil down Derby cathedral.

If i was able to raise the funds for this expedition it would be a great experience for and i would also be helping yhose less fortunate than me so it's a win-win for me. Any donation would be greatly appreciated,
