I'm raising £1000 to Support Men together.co.uk 3 peaks challenge

Organised by Kam Singh

Story

I'm raising £1000 for Mentogether.co.uk. A number of men will be completing the Yorkshire 3 peaks challenge on Saturday 12th September.

The need is real. Across England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland, suicide is three times more common among men than among women, and it's the single biggest killer of men under 45. Around 75% of all suicides in the UK are male.

Part of the reason runs deep. Many boys are taught from an early age not to show emotion, that doing so is a sign of weakness. Carried into adulthood, that conditioning can make it genuinely hard for men to open up about how they're feeling, even with the people closest to them, and harder still to ask for help or visit their GP.

Thank you for visiting this page and taking a moment to learn about Men Together. What began with something simple - a good cooked Yorkshire breakfast and a table full of men willing to talk - has become a welcoming space where men from all walks of life can come together, share openly, and feel accepted exactly as they are.

Around that table, and through our curry nights, smaller discussion groups, and other activities, we create a safe and supportive environment for men to speak honestly about life, challenges, and the things they may be carrying quietly. Our aim is to reduce isolation, encourage connection, and remind men that they do not have to face difficult times alone.

This work matters because many men still find it hard to ask for support. A kind conversation, a shared meal, and a trusted place to talk can make a real difference. By supporting Men Together, you are helping build a community where understanding, dignity, and encouragement are always present.

Please consider donating to help us continue and grow this work. Your support will help keep these conversations going and ensure more men have access to a caring, welcoming space. Thank you for standing with us.
