I've raised £4000 to ensure essential needs are met in local communities in Kampala, Uganda using existing networks during this virus crisis.

Having met new friends in Kampala since a visit nearly a decade ago, I’ve been blown away by their talent and drive to be leaders within communities who really struggle. With these crazy times of isolation, here is a way to directly help communties hit hardest. So, I’ve created this page on behalf of Moze. All proceeds raised are sent to him directly every 2 weeks , for volunteers to purchase and distribute food locally as there is a need right now. Update: £2682 has been sent already.
My name is Mukalazi Moses, a Ugandan social artist that has been working in community building for over ten years, during this time I have travelled to different parts of the world teaching and performing.
Back home, I am often seen with foreigners and so when a crisis like this breaks out people look up to me to bring in some help from abroad.
The thing is, this might come as a surprise to a lot of people from the west but the sad truth is we have a very bad culture of saving here in Uganda and people don’t have what they need to eat at the moment, that’s why I am reaching out to all of you, my international community, for support.
