Story

We raise money to fund an Eye Camp which is held in the Punjab, India every year. The camp is held in an open area, such as a school ground/temple courtyard or even set up in an open field. Takes around 3 full days of effort from the volunteers and us to make it a success.
Volunteers will hand out leaflets and drive around the villages with a speaker announcing the date and venue, weeks in advance.

The goal is to help fund this event for those that can’t afford prescription glasses/cataract removal or a simple eye test.
Tea/Coffee & Water is provided free as often people will travel for miles in the heat.
A simple meal such as Daal & Roti will also be provided free as some will be waiting since morning light till late afternoon.

Prescription glasses or eye drops are handed out free once the person has been assessed by the Doctor. Appointments are made for Day 3 for those that need cataract removal. Last year 53 cataract operations were successfully performed, with around 260+ people visiting.

Monies are mostly donated by people like yourselves.
A small donation goes a long way and we are in a position to give something back to society, to those that don’t have, can’t afford for whatever reason.

Thank you for taking time out to read.
