Story

im raising as much as we can we aim for 5000 but would love to beat our target!

in memory of my beautiful little girl Rivaeya Jayne.

Rivaeya passed away in the arms of her mummy on the 24th may this year after fighting for 5 years.

Rivvy spent most of her life in hospital she grown a whole family on ward 85 staff & patients adored her

She was treated like royalty on the HDU UNIT & INTENSIVE CARE UNIT & the love care and attention provided to her from royal Manchester children's hospital as a whole was unmatchable.

Our little girl only ever got 9 months at home other than the 5 she had in and out of hospital as a baby , she resided around her superhero's for her safety due to her having such complex health she needed carers/ nursing support that Oldham just couldn't provide, hence the long stay in hospital.. unfortunately we never knew rivvy had the condition she had or in the aggressive form she had it so rivvy didn't get to have any time palliative or any 'wishes' completed although she did have wonderful memories with her mummy and siblings , not forgetting her huge family who she was loved and cared for both in hospital and at home when she was there we have made tons of memories. But they'll never feel enough.

She then spent quite some time after she died at Francis house where both my self and my family and rivvy was looked after & cared for until her funeral & that's putting it lightly as I've got to save space for the main object of the event! Francis house are not government funded. So we would love to give back and help the art room , where children make memories, help with new decor they're hoping to give it a nice make over , sensory lights for any other children passing / passed to help families like us feel that little bit more at peace with where our children are resting! The staff did that with everything they could , I just feel for all they do they deserve to be able to not worry about funding & have it donated to them as without donations they wouldn't be standing & the children and families that attend are so very special.

On the 20th September my self my family my friends, staff that became rivvys family will be cooking a mountain in her memory, and in hope to raise as much as we can! I have never climbed a mountain before and I know many others haven't either! This is a huge challenge for us all, but we go by 'if rivvy could go through all that she could in her 5 years, I can climb a mountain' I for one will tell my self that until I reach the top!

Abit about our mountain climb for anyone else interested in joining, please contact my self via rivvys instagram rivvys_journey. Or my uncle, Danny Caldecott aka via insta - the ginger rambler

Scafel pike from Wasdale car park

This is a popular route up Scafell Pike for those wanting to bag the National three peaks, With this summit, the highest mountain in England at an elevation of 978 meters above sea level. Be prepared for a real adventure, and to have an amazing experience with incredible views to reward your efforts.

However this path should not be underestimated as it requires a very steep and sustained I sent along a combination of rocky steps and very loose gravel where a good level of fitness and very careful footing are required. The Trail is very slippery in wetter conditions, so we are hoping we are going to attempt it in calm clear & dry conditions With perfect visibility.

At the summit of the mountain you must take great care with your footing as the path crosses over scree and gravel. On a sunny day it is a great scenic adventure but there is also no shade for protection from the Sun shall make sure you have plenty of water and some cream. The weather in the mountains is very changeable and must be checked 24 hours before going. Warm and waterproof, layers and appropriate sturdy footwear are also required for this trail. Please be aware of your own abilities and limits and allow plenty of time to enjoy this trail safely.

The walk will start at 9:30 am please allow yourself plenty of time to travel, depending on where you are travelling from. From Manchester in general it will take approx 3 hours to arrive on time. This means it’s an early start! Please factor that in to your plans, happy to answer any questions at any time. You can contact me on 07736979804.
