Story

Audrina is 4 years old and was diagnosed with high risk neuroblastoma (a rare childhood cancer) in July 2018. Since then she has spent her birthday in hospital, has endured 4 surgical procedures, 5 rounds of chemotherapy and a stem cell harvest. Audrina had surgery in December to remove the tumour followed by high dose chemotherapy which began on new years eve. Audrina has just had a stem cell transplant and is currently in an isolation unit in hospital.

Over the next few months Audrina will need to undergo further chemotherapy, radiotherapy, 6 months of cis retinoic acid and most likely immunotherapy. This gruelling course of treatment is expected to be successful and should by completed by October 2019

The risk of relapse in neuroblastoma is more than 50% and when it does relapse there is only a 1 in 10 chance of survival. This is why we want Audrina to be able to have DFMO. DFMO is a pioneering new drug that has been created to prevent neuroblastoma recurring and save lives. This drug is only available in America and will cost over £200,000.

Audrina would need to start this treatment as soon as she goes into remission in October 2019. We need to raise a huge amount in a short period of time! Please support!
