We are raising money for the Room at the Inn, Night Shelter, which is run by Warrington YMCA. It provides 10 beds per night for people who would be otherwise sleeping rough. The YMCA also provides daytime service, (cheap food, warmth, company, help with finding work, help with health appointments, c/o of address etc) at the Night Shelter - for not only homeless people, but also for people who have been sanctioned, or who are extremely poor, or who have no family/friends/contacts. In other words the Room at the Inn and Warrington YMCA help people on the margins of society.
75 of us will be sleeping out overnight on Saturday 29th April 2017 in Warrington in order to raise money to support the charity and to raise awareness of homelessness in Warrington. The Mayor of Warrington, will be opening the event and Cheshire's Police and Crime Commissioner and several local councillors are amongst our Sleep Out volunteers, as well as lots of other caring Warrington residents.

£5 gives a homeless person a bed for the night and a hot meal
£10 gives 4 nights shelter for a rough sleeper
£20 helps the YMCA to take homeless people to health appointments and look after their mental and physical health
£50 helps provide support and equipment when someone moves into their own accommodation.
