Supporting Families Devastated by Legacy Funeral Directors

In Hull there is a community of heartbroken families united by an unimaginable tragedy. We are the victims of the Legacy Funeral Directors scandal and we are reaching out for your help to pick up the pieces of many shattered lives.

The Nightmare We Are Facing

Our community has been subjected to horrific emotional trauma and severe financial fraud.

The Emotional Trauma: We thought we had given our loved ones a proper cremation, only to learn that 30 of them were hoarded and left decomposing inside the building. Tragically this includes a baby who was kept in a paper bag for nearly two years while the parents were given ashes they believed belonged to their child. The parents could not bear their baby to be cremated after what went wrong so had the baby buried but were unable to obtain a headstone. Many families will now never know if the ashes they hold are truly their loved ones.

The Financial Fraud: Over 200 people in our local community bought pre-paid funeral plans. They handed over their life savings in cash, so were unable to get refunds from credit cards or banks. They paid for these plans for peace of mind, wanting to spare their grieving families the future financial burden. We have now discovered these hard-earned and life savings went into fraudulent agreements. The contracts are completely worthless, leaving elderly and vulnerable people with zero security. This money will help them secure new plans.

How Your Donation Will Help

Our Immediate Priority: We were focusing on supporting the parents of the baby. We wanted to ensure they finally have a headstone, but the family, being the selfless, caring people that they are have now asked if the donations can be shared with their nominated charity instead, Miscarriage Association. We totally respect their wishes.

Supporting All Victims: Funds raised will go toward helping the 200+ other local victims who have been financially defrauded and emotionally devastated by these worthless funeral contracts. Funds were stolen from12 Charities so if we do amazingggggg, they will also be helped. Alongside the Miscarriage Association.
