4 years ago my daughter disclosed she was being abused by her father since that day he was arrested charged and sentenced to 17 years in prison for his crime. Since then we have been trying to recover till this point in time where my daughter wants to help others, she said if she had awareness she would have disclosed earlier. My family have come up with a sexual abuse awareness campaign aimed at young people and professionals backed by Superintendent Fraser of Wolverhampton police we aim to deliver and make an impact on lives of those affected and raise awareness of this terrible situation turning our negative into positive and try and help as many as we can. Our experience has been both good and bad and highlighting it will help everyone understand the family importance and how much of an influence it has on our lives. My self my daughter and my son aim to deliver a programme age appropriate consisting of various types of activities to raise awareness going into schools colleges university anywhere where we can and to professionals to give an insight into the real impact on our family and try and help anyone in the same situation and hopefully ease it for them, we are raising money for the launch on January 20 2017 which coincides with the start of his trial thank you in advance for your kind support xx
