I've raised £6000 to prevent Kay from losing her sight as she endures treatment for her incurable cancer.

Kay has dedicated her life to help others who are going through turubulent times in their lives. She is an extremely empathic listener who brings comfort and support through her work as a counsellor/therapist.
Last year, aged only 55, she had a shocking prognosis of cancer in her media sternum followed by months of debilitating chemotherapy and radiotherapy.
Sadly, her cancer is not fully responding to the treatments meaning that it is not a curable condition and will be handled with palliative medicine in the future.
Due to the chemotherapy Kay has now developed severe cataracts in both eyes severely affecting her sight and denying her of her favourite pastimes - reading and painting etc and the ability to drive.
The waiting list for a first appointment to have one cataract removed is 18 weeks and eventual surgery even longer. This is valuable time for Kay, severely effecting her quality of life. The only way she can regain her sight is to pay for surgery privately, an option that is beyond her financially. Being unable to work, and losing her income, her finances have hit rock bottom and trying to take out a loan she can barely afford is a terrible worry for her.
Hence this appeal! Any donation to help this situation would be a game changer for Kay. It will cost £3000 per eye so we are looking to raise £6000 in all.
Please please give generously to give Kay some quality of life back as she struggles to live with this cancer - it would make a huge difference to her.
Thank you
