Story
My wonderful sister in law Carolyn mother of three was diagnosed with stage four ovarian cancer seven years ago! She has amazed us as a family with her strength and determination to find treatments, diet and alternatives to give herself the best possible chance of living her life!
However the cancer has returned and spread to her lungs and around her diaphragm. Carolyn is determined to fight on, she is now enduring yet more chemotherapy on a weekly basis and surgery! Unfortunately within the NHS many cancer drugs that could help her survival are not available on the NHS. We feel that with these other treatments this will buy her extra time with her beautiful family! If you have ever had a family member affected by cancer you will know how hard it is to watch them suffer! Carolyn has devoted her working life as a district nurse generously giving her care and attention to so many others, we now feel we have to give her the care and attention she so desperately needs now! We know how precious every minute is and we feel we have no time to lose now and want her to continue her journey of living! We often stand in awe of her as we see the pain she goes through daily, which is unbearable at times, yet she still tries to manage her family life and helping other cancer suffers.
Carolyn has been self funding other treatments for a number of years, which is proving very hard to maintain as it involves great monthly costs and adds to her worry and stress!
So we are reaching out to friends and readers of this page, to donate to help Carolyn through this gruelling treatment and months ahead. Carolyns cancer is not curable, but there are many treatments that will give her time some available on the NHS but others sadly not.
We are raising funds for Carolyn so that we can support her cancer management with treatments and therapeutic routes and help her spend time with her three sons and husband.
This photo of Carolyn was taken a year ago on a windy day at the beach spending time with her family, she often puts others before herself, so please help us to help Carolyn......Thank you for taking time to read Carolyns story xxx
