Story
In November 2015 Paul and I went for a 3 month visit to Jamaica with my . During our visit I decided that I would like to volunteer and was led to this wonderful Basic School called The Watts Early Childhood Care Centre. During my time there , I was made very welcome by children, teachers and parents alike. The school offers children aged 3 to 6 years a Early Years Foundational Education in a loving and nurturing way, however in Jamaica you have to pay each day to attend these schools. I soon came to see that not all of the parents could afford to attend on a daily basis and so the children's education can be disrupted. I also noticed that the outside area to the School was in need of some TLC. The children have just a dirt area which is quite dangerous for them as it is a hardcore surface.
The school was founded in 1949 by Rudolph Watt's a pastor and gifted teacher. The school began under a little lean shed covered with coconut bough with one child who name was Hope. As the news spread other came and enrolled at the school. Mrs Watts made hot food for the children and they also received learning and early education in preparation for their futures. I was given a letter to me by the current Principle Ms Graham which gives the complete history of the school. The letter is available to see on my facebook page that I set up on behalf of the school. Please follow the link below for more details and photos.

I would like to fundraise for a new playground area for the children to have more opportunities for learning and exploring through their natural environment. The outside space is amazing and these children can be given so much more opportunities for reaching their full potential.
Please donate what ever you can afford to help and to support make a different to these children's lives.
I will also be looking for volunteers to go out there and help organise this project for 2017.
